The Carlow Kilkenny Energy Agency was established to provide
sustainable energy information and services to the people of Carlow
and Kilkenny, to local businesses and community groups and to the
Local Authorities.
The Agency can be contacted for impartial information, advice and
support by anyone considering energy management or renewable
energy projects in Carlow or Kilkenny.
Renewable energy combined with energy efficiency offers a viable
method to counteract the causes of climate change. With rising fossil
fuel prices and given that Ireland is heavily dependent on imported
fossil fuels, the Irish energy sector is now moving into a period of
dynamic change. Different types of renewable energy technologies
offer different benefits but they all use non-polluting and effectively
limitless energy sources.
